Results

The TITAN Open Call was successfully completed and we are happy to share with you the beneficiaries that were selected as the most innovative and ambitious pilots that will enhance the value of food supply chains through increased transparency.

Microfy Systems, S.L

Microfy Systems, S.L is a company who specializes in developing disruptive technologies for the food sector. With our Titan project pilot, we aim to evolve our current technology already developed to analyze some parameters of honey quality, to be able to act as fast, simple, fraud screening technique. Our system must be able to screen for specific types of fraud in honey based on pollen spectra identification.

the information seen in the analysis will be shared in a QR with the end-user, so the honey packer can share this QR for consumers in the jars.

The Project includes technical development, and several months of testing in different demo sites, including public bodies, cooperatives, and honey packers.

Huggin Munin LTD

Huggin Munin LTD is a data analytics company specialising in advanced AI models for demand forecasting and route optimization. Our expertise encompasses the integration of machine learning, data analytics, and logistics software, aimed at significantly improving supply chain operations.

Within the scope of the Titan project, our AgriSyncAI initiative is designed to validate and enhance the Agricom solution, which combines AI-driven demand forecasting, advanced route optimization, and interactive consumer engagement tools. Our goal is to effectively close the gap between supply and demand, thereby increasing efficiency and minimizing waste.

Tellspec

Tellspec manufactures bio photonics portable sensors and develops software and ML predictive models to facilitate rapid and out-of-the-lab analysis of organic substances. Our Titan project pilot is called FishTell. It utilizes portable NIR spectroscopic sensors and AI data analytics to measure accurately crucial parameters for fish freshness. Our objectives include finalizing system development, creating the FishTell digital platform for data visualization and management, validating accuracy of our portable sensors, and piloting the system with stakeholders. Our ultimate goal is to commercialize Fishtell, collaborating with industry stakeholders to uphold rigorous standards and best practices across the salmon industry.

ChefChain

ChefChain has industry-specific knowledge about the issues surrounding the hospitality industry, and their mission is to bring transparency, traceability, and ownership to the industry through the use of blockchain technology. Our role in Titan is to connect consumers with farmers, through local ingredients used at top, 5 caterers and festivals from sustainability’s perspective, and their traceability blockchain.

Flevofood

Flevofood is a network association composed of and built for food companies in Flevoland. The association wants to be an enabler and facilitator to stimulate food products and consumption in Flevoland and Metropolitan Region Amsterdam (MRA) and ensure benefits in all aspects of the regional food supply chain. Our role in Titan is to connect consumers with farmers, through local ingredients used at top 5 caterers and festivals from sustainability’s perspective, and their traceability blockchain.

Zunibal

Founded in 1995 in Derio (Biscay, Spain), Zunibal has established itself as a benchmark in the field of innovation and development of advanced technological solutions dedicated to sustainable fishing and marine monitoring, fields in which research and development (R&D) play a crucial role. After securing funding through the TITAN open call, Zunibal will develop a pilot project based on AI for the development of tuna fishery decision support tools to facilitate the traceability and efficiency of the tuna fishery.

ColorSensing

ColorSensing is a deep-tech spin-off of the University of Barcelona dedicated to helping food packaging companies and retailers reduce food waste and ensure the quality and safety of their products allowing them to increase their profitability and enhance sustainability. Our solution revolves around a digital, multiparametric, and cost-effective smart label capable of detecting potential package leaks, cold chain breaks, and the real freshness of the product. With our INKtelliPack project, ColorSensing aims to revolutionize food safety and packaging integrity by utilizing smart ink QR-labels and advanced AI algorithms.
